Honest answers for first-time tallow users
The questions everyone asks.
Wait, does it smell like beef?
Almost never. We give out thousands of samples at markets and the most common verdict is "neutral, buttery, earthy." Most people smell little to nothing; some enjoy the subtle herbal note from our whole-plant infusions. It is tallow, after all, but it won't smell like the kitchen.
Will it feel heavy or greasy?
No. A pea-sized amount is all you need. Because tallow is so similar to your own skin's oils, it absorbs in rather than sitting on top. Less is genuinely more.
I have sensitive or reactive skin. Is it for me?
Our range was designed with sensitive skin in mind: bio-compatible ingredients, no preservatives, no harsh synthetics. As with anything new, we always recommend a small patch test first.
