Myoko Embodied originally launched in 2020 in the mountains of Japan, in a small town called Myoko Kogen. At this time, the brand was launched under a different name and sold a range of natural products including organic toothpaste, natural detergent, natural soaps and… Tallow skincare! All of the products were handmade in our home at this time and were sold at local markets and eventually shipped around Japan.

We perfected our first tallow skincare product, "Tallow Magnesium Balm" which formed the basis for our product now named OCEAN. It was a hit among friends and the local community, with amazing reports and feedback from clearing chronic eczema to restoring a healthy, radiant glow. We were blown away with the results!

We continued to sell our products at markets around the Japanese alps and slowly the word got out, allowing us to ship our products to prefectures all around Japan.

After a huge move back to Australia, we knew our path was clear. We wanted to honor the art of tallow skincare and the lessons of simplicity we learned in the mountains. We completely re-branded and relaunched our business in Australia as Myoko Embodied, a name that truly encompasses our unique journey and our love for that wholesome, intentional mountain life. Through countless trials, we perfected the art of curating luxurious, whole-plant infused tallow skincare that stays true to its ancestral origins. We then began selling online again and venturing out to markets to begin to spread the good word of tallow! At this time most people still didn’t know about tallow skincare.

After growing significantly in our first year as Myoko Embodied, we decided to take the risk and move the business into its own beautiful space in the stunning coastal town of Yamba, NSW Australia. Right at the ocean-side, we opened our very first Tallow HQ, where all our products were made, orders packed, and a beautiful showroom/shop to buy our products on-site.

After just one year, we had officially outgrown our space and expanded into our very first dedicated warehouse. Today, we operate as a passionate team of five. By keeping every stage of production in-house, we ensure that quality control remains at the heart of everything we do.
